The Massac CUSD #1 selected BHDG Architects to design the 8,000 sf Pre-K Classroom addition which enabled the District to move students from portable classroom spaces to permanent flexible learning classrooms within the existing Metropolis Elementary School. The addition housed pre-K classrooms with dedicated student restrooms, time out rooms, and supporting administrative Pre-K offices. The original Metropolis Elementary School Addition was designed by Ms. Baysinger Hensley while principal / owner of Lunsford Baysinger Architects. The project was awarded the Illinois Association of School Board Award of Merit award.
